Consultant Contributes to Successful M&A Integration

SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT

A regional bank with a pattern of growing by merger and acquisition needed assistance to complete integration of a recent acquisition.  The goal was to gather, reconcile and report all reissued bank debit cards.

THE SOLUTION

BASG provided a highly skilled Consultant with over 15 years of experience guiding the application of analytics and data science for large-scale global companies.

The Consultant’s skills in financial metrics, history of translating data into scalable and measurable business processes, and success executing data visualization tools, were the ideal match for the work to be done.

The work was broken up into two phases:

  1. Phase one was reissuance of approximately 180,000 debit cards to the previous legacy customers.
  2. Phase two encompassed the reissuances of almost a half million “contactless” debit cards to all integrated customers.

 

THE RESULT

 Working in concert with representatives from the Bank’s staff, the BASG Consultant led completion of both phases of the project on time and within budget.  This met the Client’s two major goals.  The first and most important was improvement of the Customer Experience for both its legacy and acquired customers.

The second goal was realizing a significant cost savings by meeting incentive deadlines offered by the card provider.

Completion of this project was a significant piece of the final merger integration.
