STAFF JOB: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER WITH SIGNIFICANT BANKING EXPERIENCE

Business Advisory Solutions Group (BASG) is interviewing candidates for Senior Project Manager staff roles that require extensive banking experience.

Work is substantially remote but must be done from the eastern side of the United States with a strong preference for North or South Carolina.

THE JOB

The role itself is best described as a “Business Consultant”/Senior Project Manager who understands and represents the best interests of the LOB to which assigned and leads initiatives start to finish.

Work is more on the delivery side than the strategic side though there may be elements of both and is definitely business side and not IT.

These PM’s will be assigned to work with one or more LOB’s (as outlined below) to listen to their needs and problems, areas of improvement, opportunities for growth, evaluate and prioritize trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value, determine priorities, make recommendations, and then lead projects through execution.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate must have:

  • Extensive business side experience in banking; This is NOT an IT PM role.
  • 10 years of continuous and recent banking experience as a Program or Project Manager
  • Multiple years of experience supporting one or more of these LOB’s
    • Wealth Management / Mortgage
    • Bank Operations
    • Commercial Banking / Treasury
  • Experience working through a PMO or ePMO.
  • Experience that includes Business Analysis, Project Management and maybe some Program Management
  • Diverse knowledge and experience within banking
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills
  • Ability and willingness to fill in wherever needed, handle any type of project, wear multiple hats, be a senior leader
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or education related experience.
  • Excellent understanding and experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean and/or Six Sigma)
  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, unpredictability, and a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage projects with little to no oversight
  • Excellent organization, collaboration, negotiation, and team building skills
  • Excellent data analysis, reporting, and business process analysis skills
