Business Advisory Solutions Group (BASG) has been selected to lead a major project for a member college of the North Carolina Education System.
The goal of this multi-pronged project is threefold:
- Create an accessible and standardized system to collect data regarding what is needed to support the growth of existing programs, evaluate the value of potential new programs, and determine the tools, software, facilities, technology, staff, etc. needed to support the College.
- Provide a better format to measure and evaluate critical and timely data such as the number of students attending each offered class, how many complete the full class, what programs are successful and is the current curriculum meeting the defined needs of the students, workforce, and community.
- Make readily available data needed for accreditation and compliance reporting and the yearly justification required by various funding sources.
This project will create the foundation for successive digital transformation efforts and help the College to incorporate and automate key Program metrics. This long-anticipated addition to the College’s data structure will enable a more thorough program of data capture, usage and storage and allow departments across the institution to effectively utilize a wide range of data for strategic decision making, growth initiatives, and the betterment of student experience.
Additionally, the creation of this new internal system will provide a flexible framework to accommodate future assessment needs and adapt to evolving program requirements along with obviate the need for expensive third-party vendor packages, thus saving the College thousands of dollars.
